Sky TV Rip-Off… Gringos Beware
Sky Tv in Mexico is a total and absolute rip off! you would think that Sky TV would value their loyal customers, after many years of using their services I am most dissapointed with their cancellation policy but most of all their extremely poor customer service…I guess that will happen when a monopoly like SKY TV has the stick by the handle and leave you holding the other end…. I am an expat living in Cabo San Lucas heading back to the US for good since the economy has soured down here, we have been loyal customers of SKY TV since it started in Mexico, we have never contracted the “pirate card” to receive the gringo network and ball game channels, that was probably a mistake! Closing down our contracted responsibilities for the move, power, phone, water, etc. we called SKY TV to thank them for many years of enjoyable viewing only to be told by an extremely rude rep that SKY TV CANNOT BE CANCELLED! you must continue to make payments for 13 MONTHS! Are you serious? you gotta be kidding me! if you contract SKY TV beware! pay monthly, don´t let these people get hold of your credit card…if you try to cancel SKY TV will ruin your credit. We are contacting PROFECO Mexico´s attorney general for consumer affairs to report SKY TV, this is simply a rip off! We cannot afford to have our credit ruined and we surely don´t believe it´s fair that we be obligated to pay for a service we won´t receive. Gringo Beware especially with a contract in spanish with a dishonorable company like SKY TV.
